Have You Scene The Ocean At Night?

It's week 4 of Cornish Heritage Farms Summer Stamp Star Design Challenge; this week Make A Scene. I used two stamp sets from the Scene It! series: Beacon of Hope and By The Seashore. With the hot temps around here all I could think about was getting to the beach and in a hurry! Anyone who really knows me, knows I have a love of lighthouses and I really wanted to use a lighthouse for this challenge as well.

I first stamped everything in memento tuxedo black and then stamped my lady with the basket, another set of palm trees, crab, and shells on scrap paper in memento black as well. Taking my prismacolor markers, I colored everything in the darker shades since I was making a night scene so the lighthouse "beacon" would show. Since the actual lighthouse stamp doesn't have a "shadow" beacon, I hand drew in my own and then colored in the darker sky around it. After the coloring on my main image was done, I colored and cut out the pieces on the scrap papers, then popped them up on dimensionals and mini pop dots. I kept embellishments simple except for ice stickles to highlight the waves.
