Today's featured set, Honor and Glory, also has a lot of different uses for it besides kids cards. For my project today, I chose to match it up with some Die Cuts With A View Timeless Type designer paper and go for a vintage, or Old English feel to them. Hopefully, I accomplished it.
After stamping all of the images in memento tuxedo black ink and coloring with prismacolor markers, for the castle card, I pulled out some stipple brushes and Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink to stipple around the top edges for the sky then Stampin Up! garden green for the grass around the castle. Once all of my stippling was finished, I layered the image onto going grey and basic grey card stock before popping up over a stamped border on my 3x3 card.
For the second card, I chose to highlight the dragon and shield against a 3x3 piece of the Timeless Type designer paper. Again both sets of images were stamped in memento black, colored, then going grey ink was sponged around the shield before layering and adding faux brads. Once I had the larger dragon image cut out, both were adhered over a stamped going grey border before adding a small silver sticker bow.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.
