The Queen Of Hearts

Hello again.  Thanks for stopping by.  Today I have another card to share with you using MFT's Costumes In Wonderland set.  I just love the Alice In Wonderland cartoon movie!

I started out by stamping my queen on MFT white Perfect Panels in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with Prismacolor markers.  Before layering, I outlined sides of the panel with a Stampin Up! old olive marker.  To make my image stand apart from the My Minds Eye Home Mat Stack designer paper, I die cut two scalloped strips of card stock using MFT's Jumbo Scallop Die-Namic and layered the strips on top of each other.

Now since, I had also wanted to have some sort of matching flower on the strips, I used MFT's Rolled Rose Die-Namic and tried my hand at making one.  It turned out "ok" but I definitely need more practice with these rolled roses, not to mention the rolled flowers too.

Here's the detail of the rose.  To finish off the rose, I added a lightly colored red dew drop from Michael's using Ranger's Glossy Accents to hold it down, then I added three more of the dew drops in the bottom right corner of the card with mini glue dots.  A small pre-made rose ribbon bow in the upper corner finishes the card off nicely.

Here are the Die-Namics I used:

Stamps: MFT Costumes In Wonderland
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Card Stock: My Minds Eye Home Mat Stack Collection, MFT Perfect Panels, Stampin Up! Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Rose Red
Accessories: Prismacolor Markers, MFT Die-Namics, Michael's Dew Drops, Ranger Glossy Accents, Stampin Up! Rose Red Brads, Glue Dots, Pre-Made Rose Ribbon Bow
