Chicken Soup Anyone? - Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge #14

Welcome to Monday and another Friends of SpeedyTV challenge by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company.  This week our challenge is to make a get well card and we'll be giving away the stamp set You Light Up Your Life as shown below.

My card this week uses the recently released set called Flaps My Wattles and is another one of those cards I made last week while suffering from my migraine and not able to sleep.

I started out by stamping my images in memento tuxedo black onto MFP's white storm premium paper and coloring with prismacolor markers.  Once my coloring was done, I lightly stippled Adirondack caramel and bashful blue inks around the edges of the layers before layering and adding some Making Memories baby brads.

Since I had decided to keep the card semi-simple, I just tied a red satin ribbon around the top and added a brass rooster charm before adding some primas along the side with green gem centers.  My final touch was taking a black marker and adding some faux sewing lines along the stamped layered image so it could be entered into the SCS Fan Club central theme challenge for this month.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and why not join us this week at Friends of SpeedyTV.  You could win a free stamp set!
