Vintage Relaxing Teacup

Hello and welcome to Thursday.  Sorry I haven't been posting a lot this week, however, I have been dealing with the flu on top of my "normal it seems" migraines.  Today I am sharing a card I made for two different challenges, the sketch for Crazy 4 Challenges and a new one I found called Crafty Friends Challenges.

I started out by stamping my images from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company Love Remains and Relax A Bit in memento tuxedo black ink onto corn husk premium paper before coloring with prismacolor markers.  Once my coloring was done, I cut out my background sketch design and then die cut my focal image using a sizzix circle scallop lace die.

Then taking three different Tim Holtz distress inks (Forest Moss, Tattered Rose, and Tea Stain), I began stippling them over and around my images until I was satisfied with the color coverage.  Once my stippling was finished, I began to assemble my card.  For my final touches, I stippled some Adirondack caramel ink around the edge of the entire card and then added a small K&Company chipboard butterfly just below my teacup.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.

  2. Great card Bonnie. I adore teacups and teapots (have too many to count) so this jumped out at me. I love the distressing you did on this and the teabag looks adorable.
