Daffodils are my favorite flower, especially since the flower is part of the American Cancer Society's annual Daffodil Days fundraiser so when Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company decided to release the new Daffodil Greetings stamp set, I jumped all over this set!!
I started out by stamping my images twice in memento tuxedo black onto MFP white storm premium paper and then coloring with prismacolor markers before cutting one of the images out to pop up later. Once my coloring was done, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges of the daffodils before layering and adding some Making Memories baby brads from my stash. Then I alternately stamped daffodils and the butterfly in Adirondack citrus ink for the card base background before adding some morning sun gingham ribbon, then my layered main image, popped up daffodils and then the butterfly popped up twice on dimensionals. The final embellishment was to add some ice stickles to both the butterfly's wings and daffodil stamens for just a bit of bling.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.
