While waiting for migraine meds to kick in last night, I was looking at the inspiration picture for the Play Date Cafe's color splash challenge, as well as a couple of other challenges, and an idea came to me. I had already reached the point of stamp or cry with the pain, so I chose to stamp and keep my card very clean and simple.
I started out by stamping my lion image from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company set called Big Cats in memento tuxedo black ink and then colored with prismacolor markers; making sure to highlight his mane in different shades of yellow to give a more realistic look before layering. Then taking some white card stock, I dry embossed it using a tree branch cuttlebug embossing folder with my big shot. The only embellishments I added were some Making Memories black baby brads. Even with this CAS look, what should have only taken me 20minutes to make took well over an hour. Geez! Anyone want a headache? Free to a good home?
