It's that time again - Vacation Time!!!!  So I decided to make a journal to document all of the fun to be had even though my family will not be taking one this year.

I started out by covering a journal I picked up in the Michael's $1 spot a while back and covered it with some designer paper I picked up several years ago.  Once that was done, I measured out a cool caribbian panel, stamped the hibiscus flower from the new Need A Vacation set as the background in the same color before stippling Tim Holtz broken china around the edges.  Then, I stamped my main images onto a small white panel in memento ink, colored with prismacolor markers then stippled some Tim Holtz distress inks around the edges before adding birds from Scenic Selections.  After layering and adding some brads, I adhered it to the journal before adding some cork letters and ribbon.  My final touches were ice stickles for the water and palm trees before adhering some dew drops for the coconuts using micro glue dots.

My second project is a matching card to go with the journal to make a gift set.  I used the same colors, card stock, ink and designer paper to keep the theme together.  The only other touches added to the card was a couple of highlights of ice stickles for the water and then up in the palm trees.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.
