The special stamp set we have for you this month is:
"You Are an Angel"
"Wings"
I love vintage stamp sets so today I have two cards to share with you again. My first card incorporates a Tim Holtz die, umbrella man, I've been dying to use since buying it almost a year ago along with the gadget gears die. Since the umbrella man is a Sizzix bigz die, I used the smaller gadget gears for this card even though I have both sizes.
Once my card stock was die cut, I pulled out some DCWV Timeless Collection designer paper and covered a mahogany card before stamping my image onto a piece of scrap corn husk then colored with prismacolor markers. After coloring the image, I pulled out my Background Fun set and stamped the cracked image over the colored car and the die cut gears for added texture before layering and adding to my card. I kept the embellishments pretty simple with just some faux brads around the classic car and dew drops between the gears using micro glue dots.
My second card uses scrap pieces of the DCWV Timeless Collection designer paper and same colored card stock as the first since everything was still sitting on my desk. After stamping my image in memento black and coloring with prismacolor markers then layering, I stamped the saying then added some vintage brads before adhering to the card. The only additional embellishment is some antique Tim Holtz metal gears I picked up on clearance last year.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.
