A Night of Oriental Stamping
Hello and welcome. Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made last night with an oriental flare despite my ongoing migraine.
My first card uses Asian Delights by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company and stamped the cherry blossoms in Tim Holtz spiced marmalade distress ink onto MFP orangerie sunset card stock before layering onto a black card. Then I took a smaller panel of the orangerie sunset, stamped the cherry blossoms in spiced marmalade ink again before over stamping the Peace, Love, Hope sayings down the left side in memento black then adding the small oriental temple in the lower right hand corner. The only embellishments added were some black baby brads, and a black prima flower with orange bling center.
My second card was made following the sketch challenge layout from Oriental Stamp Art's challenge blog along with some retired digital designer paper. The main focal image is stamped in memento black using the Glad Glads stamp set colored with prismacolor markers before stamping the Beauty saying from Asian Delights in the lower right corner of the image panel. I then over stamped Love Script in Tim Holtz antique linen to "age" the main image panel a bit before sponging Stampin Up! apricot and artichoke inks around the edges. The final touches were adding a brass teapot charm and oriental button brad along with ice stickles to highlight the flowers and butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.
