Is It Spring Yet?
Second post for me today. If you're looking for my Addicted to CAS post, please scroll down one.
This week's CCEE challenge is to use and oldie but goodie stamp - one that you just had to have but have only used once or twice. Well I went with - have yet to ink up for the challenge and pulled out a set from The Cat's Pajamas I just had to have a year ago, but never used so far. With the weather from the middle of the country to the East Coast being so messed up, this card is totally appropriate.
Warm Fuzzies in memento tuxedo black ink and colored with prismacolor markers. Once all of the my coloring was finished, I stamped one of the snowflakes from the retired Deck The Hall set in Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink before stippling the tumbled glass and broken china distress inks around the edges of the main image panels. Then I created my own background by stamping the larger snowflake from Deck The Hall in Stampin Up! brocade blue and Tim Holtz chipped sapphire distress ink then sponging the same ink around the edges.
My final touches were to die cut a lace floral doily in scrap navy card stock before popping up the main image panels over it using pop up glue dots and adding some of the punched out mini flowers that looked like snowflakes in the corners. The saying is stamped in memento black onto scrap white card stock then punched out using a 1 inch circle punch before being popped up with the same pop up glue dots.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.
