To Krump or Not To Krump

According to the Urban Dictionary, krumping began as a form of clown dancing, but has developed into a non-violent outlet for anger and alternative to the street violence seen in many urban areas. The dancing style is fast and agressive involving physical contact between dancers that often looks like a fight. So how does krumping and stamping come together?

Well, that's what this week's So You Think You Can Stamp Challenge is all about: Krumping - Bling it out and make it shout. Well, I did both. I took the competitive nature of the "dance", so to speak, and incorporated it into my idea and design, then added plenty of bling. Since at the holidays, a lot of people try to out decorate their neighbors, or even in-laws, I decided that would become my competition. So I took out my yet un-inked Amanda Baird A Balanced Holiday set and paired it my un-inked Tree Trimming Flopsey set and designed a good old fashioned family feud - Baird's vs Rabbits!

I started by stamping my Balanced Holiday set on white cardstock in memento black ink and then my Flopsey set on MFT perfect panels also in memento black ink before coloring everything with prismacolor markers. Once everything was colored, I cut out the presents, Flopsey and his tree separately. Stampin Up! raspberry ink was sponged around the edges of the main image before gluing the presents down with a Martha Stewart 2-way glue pen. Then I sponged Stampin Up! glorious green ink on the edges of Flopsey's tree before popping it up on micro pop dots. Flopsey has Stampin Up! creamy caramel ink sponged on his edges before popping him up on pop dots.

Me And My Big Ideas gem stickers make up most of the bling on the trees with ice stickles being added to the stars and some of the ornaments. A green/gold organdy ribbon with a button in the center finished off my holiday "feud".
