In My Heart

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using one of the images I had colored while my husband was in the hospital.  He is slowly making progress.  Slowly.  My card uses a retired Creative Worship digital image called Melody of Love.

I started out by printing it onto Neenah white card stock before coloring using my Castle Arts Watercolor pencils and a blender pencil before lightly blending some left over tumbled glass distress ink from a previous project using a blender brush before layering and adding silver brads.  I then added it to a dry embossed green card before creating my own floral spray underneath using Martha Stewart punches and a paper crimper. The final touch was color spritzing some green galore ink and adding some bling to the flower centers on the main image panel.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

  2. Bonnie Lynn, first let me say that I'm so glad your husband is making progress, even if it is slow. Hugs to both of you. I'm glad you were able to be a bit creative in the hospital. I really love and appreciate all the effort that went into this card. The flowers at the bottom, the image and the sentiment all go so well together. I love that you used some leftover ink from another project on this. So clever! All the other details make it an absolutely wonderful card. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We love keeping up with you.

  3. You did a beautiful job coloring this sweet image, Bonnie, and I love the composition with the embossing and the tiny flower bouquet! Thank you for using this week's I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and linking in the gallery to motivate others - and for your many NBUS entries! I hope your hubby continues to improve. Hugs, Darnell
