Hello and welcome to the April Recycled Artistry IG Hop hosted by @newdawncards and @createwithkas
We’re taking recycling to the craft room and giving new life to
discarded items in a creative way. From paper towel rolls, junk mail
envelopes, cereal boxes, bubble wrap and so much more, we encourage you
to look around and see if you can “use it before you lose it” to the
trash!
We post once a month on the 2nd Tuesday at 2 PM EST. To join, message
Dawn or Kelly and tag us using
#recycledartistryighop

For my project, I took a tin my daughter had received some chocolate in and turned it into a paintbrush holder.
After adding 3/8th inch Scor-Tape all over the tin, I adhered some Thomas Kincade© designer paper I've had for who knows how long, all around the top and edges of the tin. I then stamped out the "brushes" using a retired Stampin Up letter set Alphadots in memento tuxedo black ink onto scrap white card stock. I then punched the letters out before adding them to scrap gold designer paper and adhered to the tin. I then pulled out some silk butterfly bridal confetti I've also had for years, added them using glue dots and then added some bling to finish it off.
Challenges entered:
Neglected Stuff 4/25 - Anything Goes Using Neglected Items (designer paper, silk butterflies)
We Love To Create Mixed Media #4 - Anything Goes Mixed Media (tin, paper, silk butterflies, stamped letters, bling)
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.
