Here's the Design Team:
Both of today's featured sets are awesome!!! For my cards, I let the designer paper I matched up choose the colors I used.
First up is my coneflowers matched with some Basic Grey Indian Summer designer paper (love this stuff) along with three different Tim Holtz distress inks. After stamping the image in memento ink onto white card stock and coloring with prismacolor markers, I stippled brushed corduroy and tumbled glass around the image before layering and adding some vintage baby brads. Then I layered the panel over another layered border before sponging walnut stain around the entire card. The final step was stamping my saying in memento black directly onto the designer paper for a finished look.
My second card is probably my favorite of this week's release. Even though I was still dealing with a nasty migraine, it came together fairly easy. Again, I stamped the image in memento black and colored using prismacolor markers before stippling tumbled glass distress ink around the image to "soften" it up a bit before layering and adding brads. I then sponged walnut stain around the layered card before adding some ruffled ribbon using brads to hold it down, popping up the rose panel over it, and then building my own floral spray using mini prima roses and punched fern leaves in the upper corner. The final touch was adding a small green pearl prima flourish to the lower right hand corner.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured sets.
