PIP Challenge 2538

 Sponsored by Newton's Nook
Newton

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of our challenge. My project this week uses the retired Paradise Palms and Newton's Seashell sets.

I started out by stamping everything using various colors of Memento ink before coloring my kitty/shell using Ohuhu markers.  Once that was finished, I stippled chipped sapphire, broken china distress inks and caramel dye ink before layering and adding some sand dollar brads I've had for years.  After adding the layered image panel to my card, I adhered a gold lighthouse charm using glossy accents, bling and two punched blue crabs to my scene.  Some twine finishes the card off.

Happy Anniversary Birds

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you an anniversary card I made using the Happy Birthday Birds digital greeting card from Gerda Steiner Designs.  These cute little birds come with the Happy Birthday To You greeting in the cards as well as a blank version to "make it your own".  I used the blank version and typed in my anniversary saying using Photoshop© before printing it out onto Hammermill white card stock.

Once I had the image printed, I colored it using my Ohuhu markers.  I then went and added the tree "canopy" above, using a long retired Stampin Up set, before lightly stippling tumbled glass distress ink for the sky and added brads.  The final touches were googlie eyes to one of the birds, prima flowers and some bling from my stash.  I'm happy with how this turned out and will probably give it to my husband for our anniversary in a couple months.

A Toast To Friends

Hello and welcome.  I'm thrilled to be guest designing for Gerda Steiner Designs again.  I love her stamp sets, and digital sets, and these pigeons are hilarious.

I've stamped a pigeon from both the A Toast To You mini and the Pigeons 4x6 stamp sets in memento black onto Hammermill white card stock before coloring them using Prismacolor and Copic markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I stamped the saying twice, once on a Hammermill scrap to pop up later. After adding some leftover tumbled glass distress ink that was on a blending brush, I layered the colored panel before adding some faux brads.  After adding my popped up saying, I dug out some grey velvet ribbon from my stash, added googlie eyes, and primas with bling centers to finish it off.

All Path's Fall

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share another card made using some of the new sets in the Conjurer of Dreams store.   I'm definitely having fun playing with the new fall image sets.

I started out by combining the following sets in Photoshop© Vibrant FallNature QuotesVintage Rustic Trucks clip artFarmer Quirky CharacterCowgirl CharacterFall Silk, Quirky Chicken and Black Silk before printing the finished combined image on Neenah card stock.  I then printed an additional Vibrant Fall image to use as layering on my card base.  I took the combined digital image and layered that onto scrap card stock before distressing the edges, added brads and popped up using pop up glue dots.  I then added some copper cord to the left hand seam before punching out several leaves and pumpkins from scrap card stock.  I adhered those using Ranger Glossy Accents before adhering a few pieces of bling to finish the card off.

My Concern

Hello and welcome.  I have another fall inspired card to share with you today using some of the new fall images from Conjurer of Dreams.

I started out by layering Autumn Vibes with the Black SilkPhoto Corners and Fall Silk backgrounds before adding my saying then printing onto Neenah white card stock.  I also printed a second Autumn Vibes background to use as part of my card front.  After adding some bling in various places, my card was finished.  Really simple and easy to do.

Harvest Wishes

Hello and welcome.   Today I'd like to share an ATC with you made using several Conjurer of Dreams digital sets.

I started out by combining the following image sets in Photoshop© (Fall Quotes, Bountiful Cart, Anne of Green Gables, Cute Dogs Clip Art, Fall Silk, Aged Paper and Photo Corners) before printing my combined image on Neenah white card stock.  I then pulled out a couple of scrap card stock and layered the image panel to those before adding some copper brads and bling to finish it off.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out especially with the way I've been feeling lately.  Ugh!

Sponsored by

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Polkadoodles.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship and for providing images for the DT to use.  My card this week uses their Dolly Sleepyhead (possibly retired) image.

After printing the image/saying out, I colored it using Ohuhu markers before layering and adding faux brads.  I then added a ribbon with a clip to the side and some sequins to finish it off.  I'm really happy with it especially since I haven't been feeling the best.

Oh Christmas Tree

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using a Technique Junkie stamp set.  Since I'm the "crazy cat lady", I had to have this when I found out they were closing.  The image is TJ's Christmas Carol Kitty and pretty much sums up my house during the Christmas season.  We have to anchor our tree to the ceiling to keep our cats from knocking it over.

After stamping the image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using my Ohuhu markers before stippling fired brick distress ink around the edges and layering then adding brads.  My card is made using a scrap of K and Co designer paper from a pack I bought years ago.  My kitty was then popped up over a border scrap of die cut felt snowflakes.  It's finished off using a scrap of ribbon and some bling.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out especially since my pain level has been really high lately.

Halloween Cake Greetings

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using an image I've had colored for some time, just didn't turn it into a card yet.  The image is from Simply Betty Stamps (now closed) and is colored using my prismacolor pencils. I have leftover tumbled glass distress ink stippled around her before layering and adding black brads.  I then popped the layered image up over a dry embossed spiderweb card.  The final touches were thunderstorm bling and some spider sequins.  I'm pretty happy with how she turned out.

PIP Challenge 2534

Sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship for this week's challenge.
My project this week is an ATC using Lawn Fawn's Flamingo Together mini set.  I love this mini because it reminds me so much of days at the Monterey Aquarium, and Chaffee Zoo, when my kids were little.  The whole ATC is made using scraps.

Using scraps, I stamped the main image panel, colored the flamingos before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then created the "beach sand" by dotting 3 different colors of Copic markers.  The final touch was a small floral spray, punched from scraps, with bling centers.

Foolish Mortals

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using the Haunted Halloween set, and Spooky Eyes stencil, from Scrappy Boy Stamps. I've had these for a while now and just hadn't used them yet - until now.

I started out by stamping the hitch-hiking ghosts onto scrap Hammermill white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled black dye ink around my "hitch-hikers" before setting aside.  Taking the stencil, I stenciled Opalite Sterling Frost ink that I've had for a decade, or more, and also hadn't used.  Once the stenciling was dry, I added my ghost layer, a black border using scraps before adding my layered sayings.  The final touch was adding some Thunderstorm bling.  I'm pretty happy with it even if it's a 6x6 card.

A Hanging Hello

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I've had made for a week, or so, but just haven't had to energy, or felt well enough, to photograph and upload.  Between my migraines, and still healing from the fall, I've not felt good at all.  The images are all from a retired Slimline Hanging Plants at Pajama Crafter Stamps.

I started by stamping all of the images in memento tuxedo black ink "following loosely" the provided sketch in the Pajama Crafter Stamps Facebook Group.  I made sure to stamp the double tiered hanger twice so I could fussy cut it to pop up later.  This way the element for the right hand side would stand out better.  I did the same with the saying.  The final embellishments were a small pre-made bow and some bling from my stash.

Retro Beach

Hello and welcome.  It's been a week already and it's only half over.  So I finally finished these ATC's using Conjurer of Dreams Retro Beach ATC challenge.

I started out by combining all of my digital elements in Photoshop© before printing them out and layering.  I then took several punches/dies and punched out/die cut crabs, starfish, coral and seagulls.  I then added them to the ATC's before highlighting the water using star dust stickles.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Sunbird Spark (formerly Penguin Palace).  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of this week's challenge. It's freaking hot here right now so, for my card, I went with a cooler fall theme and used the Happy Fall digital images.

After printing my scene on Neenah white card stock, I colored everything using Ohuhu markers before layering and adding faux brads.  Once I adhered the layered image to the card, I stippled bits of several inks leftover from previous projects for a fall feel.  I then punched several leaves from scrap card stock and adhered those to the card.  The final touches were copper sequin leaves, sequin flowers and an orange bling to the "i" in pumpkin.

Lily Pond

Hello and welcome.  I'm guest designing this month over at the FarmQuest General Store Challenge where Anything Goes Farm and/or Country. For my card, I went with the country theme and created a card using the Lily Pond Grayscale Coloring Pages from Conjurer of Dreams

After coloring the image using Castle Arts Watercolor Pencils and a blender pencil, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz mowed lawn distress ink before layering and adding some faux brads and adhering it to a green card.  I then punched two different frogs using scraps before adhering them using Bearly Art glue.   The finishing touches were googlie eyes, stickles, bling and adding some eyes using a 3D glaze pen.  I then added my saying using a long retired Close To My Heart set - inside says "only small things with great love. - Mother Teresa.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.
