Today I am sharing with you the second half of my daughter Christmas present made using Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company newest set called Blossoms and Ivy.  Since my daughter also has health issues and has been asked to keep a health journal by her doctor, I decided to make her a pretty journal that wasn't too girly or garish for a slightly tomboyish 16 year old.

I started out by taking a journal I had bought a year or so ago from the Michael's $1 spot and covering it with some designer paper from my stash.  Then I stamped my images and saying from Blossoms and Ivy in memento tuxedo black ink onto MFP white card stock before coloring with prismacolor markers and stippling with Tim Holtz broken china distress ink.  Then I cut out three of the blossom bouquets and adhered them to the journal using glue dots before adding diamond ice stickles and three different colors of organdy ribbon to the journal sides with a double knotted ribbon over the glued bouquets.  I then made a matching pen by stamping the ivy images in sage shadow ink onto white copy paper and trimming so it would fit into a RSVP pen to complete my daughter's gift.  Unfortunately, the photo doesn't do the journal justice.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.
